Family Business History

Acorn Engineering, Inc was originally founded by Hugh Savage in 1988 and reorganized under the leadership of his son Will Savage in 2007. Hugh continues to come into the Acorn office most weeks and review engineering work while mentoring the younger staff. It is evident that Will's strong work ethic was acquired through the watching his father work in Acorn's orginal office in their Brunswick Maine home, while WIll's mom ran a daycare in their basement. Those values still shine through today and have been the reason Acorn is held in such high regard by clients and staff alike. Will leads with integrity, a strong commitmment to the state of Maine and always putting people first.
