Family Business History

MKE Development Corp. was founded in 2005 and Distinctive Pergolas is a subsidiary of its parent company founded in 2023. MKE was founded on a family legacy of craftsmanship, engineering expertise, and a passion for creating extraordinary energy efficient living environments. For over two decades, our family-owned business has constructed energy-efficient homes and additions and we've recently started building premium motorized louvered roof pergolas. We have had 3 homes in the NESEA green house tour and 3 of our Pergola installations have won awards. With deep roots in New England, we take pride in delivering integrity, precision, and personalized service, values passed down through generations, that allow us to transform outdoor and indoor spaces into enduring investments for families, restaurants, and businesses alike.
