ANA HR Partners is a family-owned Human Resources company based in Maine, with an additional presence in Virginia. Founded three years ago, ANA stands for “A New Approach,” and our star symbolizes the guidance we provide to help employers navigate workplace challenges with confidence. We offer outsourced and fractional (part-time) HR departments, virtual HR assistant services, and custom AI-enabled HR solutions for small and mid-sized organizations, including family-owned businesses, nonprofits, and public-sector employers across Maine, Virginia, and beyond. Our services include compensation and classification studies, compliance advisory, workplace investigations, and employee handbook and policy development. We also help employers manage complex employee relations matters, including attendance and performance concerns, workplace conflicts, paid family and medical leave, doctors’ notes and medical documentation, and requests for workplace accommodations. Our leadership brings direct, in-house HR experience from public agencies and healthcare organizations, giving clients practical, senior-level expertise without the overhead of a full in-house department. Family involvement is part of our story. My daughter supports the business behind the scenes by typing up job descriptions and reviewing handbooks for typos and duplicate paragraphs, while my husband occasionally lends a hand with business needs. Their support helps me dedicate more time to our clients, combining the personal care of a family-owned business with experienced, professional HR guidance. As a family-owned firm itself, ANA HR Partners understands the particular challenges family enterprises face balancing business and family dynamics and is proud to partner with organizations like Atlantic Insurance and Benefits to build the people systems that let family businesses grow with confidence.

Our star represents the guidance we provide, helping businesses navigate workplace challenges, support their employees, and move forward with confidence. From employee handbooks and job descriptions to employee relations, recruiting, and compensation, we offer practical, personalized HR support tailored to each client. Behind the scenes, my daughter assists with administrative work, typing up job descriptions and reviewing handbooks for typos and duplicate paragraphs to help keep client materials clear and polished. My husband also occasionally jumps in to lend a hand and support the business. Their support helps me dedicate more time to our clients, combining the personal care of a family-owned business with experienced, professional HR guidance.
