Business Description

SoulBeing started as a brick and mortar community gathering hub for complementary and alternative medicine providers. This community often feels dislocated from their peers, and we created a warm and welcoming environment that hosted events, had treatment rooms available for rent, and served as a retail storefront for all sorts of health resources. We learned quickly from this community that connecting with each other was an important part of the puzzle, but they also yearned to connect more effectively with patients who would benefit from their services. While these providers are amazing at the care they specialize in delivering, they sometimes struggle to run and promote their practices and attract the right clients. We heard the market feedback and recognized the need. My background in medical technology and consulting positioned me perfectly to lead the pivot from storefront to healthcare benefit. I had learned early in my career that over 70% of healthcare that is delivered in our country today is completely preventable, and even reversible. Our new model would maximize our potential impact to connect the patients receiving this care or on the road to needing this care with the provider who can help us all prevent and reverse these diseases. We launched this new model in early 2022. In the future, we want to work directly with health plans to integrate into their coverage models and expand coverage of these services for patients nationwide. This will require extensive clinical investment to ensure that we are aligned from a risk perspective with health plan expectations, while maintaining the magic of our brand DNA. I look forward to this shift in our go-to-market strategy, and we are already putting the foundational pieces in place to support this direction for the company.
