Business Description

Angie Helton founded Northeast Media Associates, a multimedia public relations firm, in 2006. Over the years, through the use of diverse media channels including traditional press releases, television, radio, video production and social media outlets, she and her team have consistently met and exceeded the unique PR goals of each NEMA client, including Whole Oceans, Live + Work in Maine, Institute for Family-Owned Business, Shamrock Sports & Entertainment, FBI, WEX, vetsfirstchoice, The American Hot Rod Foundation, Maine State Lottery and TD Beach to Beacon 10K Road Race. Angie’s experience as a journalist informs her work as a public relations adviser to her clients. She worked for more than a decade as a television news producer of investigative segments for channels in New York, New Jersey, and Boston, and has been nominated for six regional Emmy Awards. She won two Emmy awards, including an award in the category of “Outstanding Single News Feature.” Before founding Northeast Media Associates, Angie was chief operating officer at 480 Digital, a video and film production company based in Portland, Maine. She has been recognized for her outstanding media work with a national Telly Award.
