Business Description

At Stepping Stones Early Learning Center II, we pride ourselves on being forward-thinking and incorporating innovation to enhance both learning and operations. One of the key innovations credited to our center is the integration of a digital parent communication platform. This technology allows for: Real-time updates on each child’s daily activities, meals, naps, and learning milestones Secure photo and video sharing to keep parents engaged and involved Digital check-in/check-out system for enhanced safety and convenience Streamlined billing and messaging for administrative efficiency Additionally, our team has pioneered a customized developmental tracking system, aligned with Maine’s Early Learning Standards, enabling individualized learning plans for each child. By embracing these technologies, we’ve strengthened our connection with families, improved transparency, and enhanced the overall educational experience for the children in our care At Stepping Stones Early Learning Center, our core values center around nurturing growth, fostering trust, and building community. We believe every child deserves a safe, loving environment where they can explore, learn, and thrive. Example 1 – Nurturing Growth: We prioritize individualized care and developmentally appropriate learning. For instance, our infant program includes sensory play and daily one-on-one bonding time to support emotional and cognitive development from as early as 6 weeks of age. Example 2 – Fostering Trust: We maintain open and consistent communication with families through a secure parent app that shares real-time updates, daily reports, and photos. This transparency helps parents feel connected and confident in the care their children receive each day. PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY We believe that good childcare depends upon consistent caregiving in a center-based atmosphere. Children grow and learn best in a safe environment that provides opportunities to explore, create and communicate with other children and adults. These groups function independently but cooperatively, following routines appropriate to individual needs. The program is designed to be inclusive of all children, including those with identified disabilities and special learning and developmental needs. The Center’s program is designed to include both planned and spontaneous activities in response to children’s interests. Experiences with music, movement, art, language, and building are incorporated into daily plans. Regularly scheduled snacks and meals, rest time, indoor and outdoor play, and routines in physical caregiving promote the child’s health, comfort, and ability to care for his/herself. There is maximum flexibility for the children as a group and as individuals. Children are encouraged to develop a positive self-image, to learn inner controls and to cooperate with peers and caregivers. Clearly defined limits help them recognize and accept their emotions and express their feelings as they grow and feel secure in the world around them.
