The Delivery Driver / Stocker will be responsible for making deliveries to our family-owned ice cream stands every week / as needed while stands are open for the season, in a safe and timely manner, while maintaining accurate counts upon each delivery, as well as stocking all freight. This position will also transport goods to and from various off-site storage locations.

Responsibilities:

• Drive delivery truck to and from various destinations, including but not limited to our family-owned ice cream stands.
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
• Load and unload truck
• Maintain all the following records and turn them into the office weekly: Delivery slips, driving logs, fuel receipts, and billing statements
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment.
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles to maintenance.
• Interact with ice cream stand employees and shipping employees.
• Read maps or understand GPS directions and determine the best route to each location.

The ideal candidate will:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years professional driving experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Be able to sit and drive for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
• Ability to lift and carry 30lbs frequently.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs. above head.
• Ability to push and pull a full pallet of ice cream using a pallet jack.
• Able to withstand cold temperatures and extreme temperature changes
• Able to work around major food allergens.
• Be dependable, detail oriented, honest, and ethical.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to work within a team and independently.
