We are hiring for an Account Management Assistant position at our headquarters in New Gloucester, Maine. This position is 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday with the ability to work a hybrid schedule (2 days in-office and 3 days teleworking), following the successful completion of company-provided training. The primary responsibility of the Account Management Assistant is to support key customers through skilled order fulfillment. Specific job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Collaborates with Account Managers to understand and address customer-specific needs
- Reviews, confirms and fulfills customer orders in USA and worldwide
- Manages purchasing to ensure accurate, timely and cost-effective order fulfillment
- Efficiently places and expedites purchase orders with vendors
- Prepares invoices, packing lists, and shipping documentation
- Collaborates with Planson USA and Denmark logistics teams to ship orders
- Communicates with customers for green light to ship goods, and to document deliveries
- Builds long-term customer relationships based on mutual respect and integrity
- Identifies factors critical to continual improvement of our business processes
Natural skills in attention to detail, a passion for efficient processes, and enjoyment of participating in a fast-paced team driven to excel in all areas are critical requirements. Proven experience in successfully managing customer accounts is preferred, with extra consideration given to international or technical accounts. Proficiency with MS Office, outstanding communication and customer service skills, and an associate’s degree or equivalent experience are required. An IT or other technical background, experience with ERP business processing software such as NetSuite, as well as sales experience are a plus.
