The Ubuntu Movement Class is an empowering and culturally rich experience that integrates the principles of mindfulness, movement, and community connection. Rooted in the philosophy of “Ubuntu,” which means “I am because we are,” the class celebrates interconnectedness, shared humanity, and the spirit of unity.
What to Expect: Enjoy a vibrant mix of dance, body movement, and stretches that get your heart rate up, engage your muscles, and leave you sweating with joy. This fun-filled class combines energetic rhythms, mindful moments, and a welcoming community atmosphere, ensuring a workout that strengthens your body, uplifts your spirit, and connects you with others.
This class is open to everyone and rooted in Afro Yoga practices and led by our BIPOC community. It creates a space that intentionally centers BIPOC teachers as leaders. This approach addresses systemic inequities where leadership and influence have historically been disproportionately distributed.
