Position Overview:
The Client Service Associate will develop hands-on and in-depth knowledge about the financial advisory business. This is the starting point for obtaining knowledge about the products, the market and market conditions, and the processes of client applications and requests. Richard Brothers Financial Advisors offers a professional training program to help you develop in your role and achieve your goals. Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all paperwork for client transactions, including but not limited to opening new accounts, closing accounts, transferring assets, deposits, withdrawals, account title changes, address changes, etc.; communicate status of transactions to clients and Advisors.
- Provide ongoing client maintenance (e.g., all money requests, checks, wires, ACHs, regular periodic transfers, transfer of securities amongst accounts, special accounts, ongoing special client instruction, etc.).
- Check custodian alerts daily and perform appropriate actions.
- Set up and generate client reports.
- Process required minimum distributions (RMDs).
- Collaborate with Advisors for proper client onboarding, with duties including client education (e.g., online account access) and proper account set up.
- Execute Operations responsibilities including client billing and performance report preparation and delivery.
- Maintain accurate notes and records in the CRM.
- Complete electronic scanning and filing of all client-related information.
- Prepare and execute trades on client accounts.
- Work with custodian and other providers to process client requests and resolve any operational issues.
- Produce mutual fund screening, retirement plan monitoring reports, and investment reports periodically.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in business, accounting, finance, economics or related experience.
- 1+ years of experience in client service and/or operations in the financial services industry (preferably with an independent registered investment advisory firm).
- FINRA licenses preferred. Ability to pass the required licensing exams within 6 months of hire date.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (required); experience with CRM, document management, and portfolio accounting software (preferred).
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and with the team.
- Desire to continually educate yourself with new technology and products.
