Michael Fallona is a former business owner from Maine (On Target Utility Services) that sold his family business to private equity back in 2018. He is now completing his Doctorate of Business Administration at Pepperdine University, where his research focuses on the well-being of entrepreneurs after they sell their businesses. As a former family business owner, he knows that even a successful sale brings a significant transition period as owners move into a new chapter of life. For the past two years, he has been interviewing business owners who have sold a business to better understand this experience. Now, he is completing his study with a survey to assess how common these well-being experiences are across a broader group of entrepreneurs who have sold their businesses.
